Two faculty members at Oakdale City College, both applying for a full-time position opening, file suit against the college, claiming that the hiring process is unfair. Despite meeting the qualifications, the two feel they have been bypassed and that the rules have been bent to allow a minority candidate to win the position. In addition, they claim their interviews were biased. Oakdale’s president asks her administrative cabinet to consider the legal ramifications of the search and its aftermath.
