Brett Gardiner Murphy is a former New York City public school history teacher with a background in urban studies and education. She is currently the director of Strategic Projects at the Posse Foundation, where she designs, facilitates, and trains teams to implement curricula exploring identity, diversity, inclusion, youth development, and college access. Brett is also the coauthor of The Storytelling Project, a curriculum developed by a creative interdisciplinary team of artists, public school teachers, university faculty members, and students to address race and racism through storytelling and the arts.
